Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange programme - launch of the 2024 call for applications
We would hereby like to inform Nodes about the launch of the 2024 call for applications of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange programme. It builds on results and legacy of several instruments applied under the ELIXIR Staff Exchange programme in the 2019-23 Programme.
The 2024 version of the ELIXIR Communities Handbook has been published, applicable under the current ELIXIR Programme 2024 - 2028. It outlines the role and purpose of ELIXIR Communities including their responsibilities, benefits, and membership.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Director of ELIXIR.
The Executive Assistant to the ELIXIR Director will provide administrative and organisational support to the Director. Additionally, the postholder is responsible for the office management arrangements for the ELIXIR Hub, and supporting hiring managers with the recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding of staff.
ELIXIR Industry Advisory Committee meeting
The annual ELIXIR Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) face-to-face meeting took place this week in Hinxton. We would like to thank our IAC members for joining us on campus.
The Summary Report with the feedback provided by IAC members will be published on the ELIXIR website once finalised.

Autumn 2023 was busy for the ELIXIR industry programme: the annual ELIXIR Bioinformatics and Industry Forum (EBIF) was held in London in November and ELIXIR presented at two industry conferences, BioTechX and Bio-IT World. The main focus of the events was Trusted Research Environments (TREs), which approved researchers with a single location to access valuable datasets.
