New portfolio of Community-led Implementation Studies selected

ELIXIR is pleased to announce four new Implementation Studies for 2019. The four projects will boost the development of Community-oriented resources and their integration with ELIXIR Platforms. Each of the selected Implementation studies involves at least two ELIXIR Platforms, linking them directly to the requirements of the ELIXIR Communities.

Out of six submitted applications, four studies were selected, involving a total of 17 Nodes:

The four Implementation studies were selected following a Request for Proposals launched in August 2018, open to all ELIXIR Communities. The selection process involved a rigorous peer-review by independent experts in bioinformatics research and service provision. The reviews were also benchmarked by an Evaluation Committee, comprising leading figures in industry and academia.

The Implementation studies will start in early Summer 2019 and will run for 24 months.

We would like thank the members of our anonymous reviewer panel for sharing their insights and expertise (each received two or three proposals to review to ensure consistency), as well as members of the Evaluation Committee who made the final selection.
