Hub Updates
The 2019 ELIXIR All Hands Programme Committee would like to request suggestions for workshops at the All Hands meeting in Lisbon on 17-20 June. To capture your ideas on the contents of these workshops, please submit your suggestions to the workshop google doc by Friday 30 November.
The ELIXIR Innovation and SME forum took place on 15-16 October 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. Focusing on Industrial Biotechnology presented ELIXIR resources as well as activities of companies working with open data. The slides are available online. Also see the photos from the event.
The second EOSCpilot Stakeholders Forum 2018 will take place on 21-22 November 2018 in Vienna, Austria. Registration is still open.
Updates from Platforms
ELIXIR-TeSS will be conducting a Bioschemas workshop with GOBLET at the GOBLET AGM 2018 in Toronto this week. The aim will be to finalize two new specifications to facilitate marking-up training courses online using schema.org.
Updates from Communities
The Intrinsically Disordered Proteins Community held their Community Workshop in Padua, Italy on 31 October. The meeting was well attended and included representatives of ELIXIR Platforms and Communities and INSTRUCT. Slides from the meeting will be available soon.
Updates from Nodes
Registrations are still open for the Single Cell Data Analysis School. The workshop will take place at Station Biologique de Roscoff, France, on 3-8 February 2019.
ELIXIR-NL held a Galaxy Course in Amsterdam from 17-19 October 2018. The European Galaxy server was succesfully used and all materials are available for re-use.
Nicola Soranzo from the Earlham Institute in Norwich is taking up on the role of ELIXIR UK Technical Coordinator.
