PhosPiR: an automated phosphoproteomic pipeline in R

An ELIXIR-FI paper

Large-scale phosphoproteome profiling using mass spectrometry provides functional insight that is crucial for disease biology and drug discovery. However, extracting biological understanding from these data is an arduous task requiring multiple analysis platforms that are not adapted for automated high-dimensional data analysis. This paper introduces an integrated pipeline that combines several R packages to extract high-level biological understanding from large-scale phosphoproteomic data by seamless integration with existing databases and knowledge resources.

Federated discovery and sharing of genomic data using Beacons

GA4GH & ELIXIR-EXCELERATE

The Beacon Project is a Global Alliance for Genomics & Health (GA4GH) initiative that enables genomic and clinical data sharing across federated networks. The project is working toward developing regulatory, ethics and security guidance to ensure proportionate safeguards for distribution of data according to the GA4GH-developed Framework for Responsible Sharing of Genomic and Health-Related Data2. In this article, the authors describe the Beacon protocol and how it can be used as a model for the federated discovery and sharing of genomic data.
