ELIXIR at ICRI and launch of the ELIXIR International
Strategy

ELIXIR will be at the International Conferences on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) in South Africa this week. The event coincides with the publication of the ELIXIR International Policy later this week.

CORBEL 1st Open Call for Research Projects

CORBEL partners have launched an Open Call offering selected research projects the unique opportunity to access multiple RIs with just one application.

Project proposal submission for Call opens on the 5 October 2016.

For more information please visit the project website.

Recording from Webinar on BioMAJ2Galaxy

The recording from the webinar on BioMAJ2Galaxy: automatic update of reference data in Galaxy using BioMAJ, presented last week by Olivier Sallou (ELIXIR-France) as part of the ELIXIR Webinar Series, is now available via the ELIXIR website.

Platform updates

A process for the selection of ELIXIR Core Data Resources has been launched, developed by the Data Platform as part of EXCELERATE deliverable 3.1. If you are considering any submissions speak to your Head of Node.

There will be two webinars taking place on Monday 10 October 2016 and Monday 14 November 2016 to communicate to Nodes what is expected from the submissions.

As agreed with the Heads of Nodes committee this will be a preliminary process with the primary purpose of understanding if this is an effective, excellence driven approach.

In addition, the paper setting out the metrics around Core Data Resources is now available in the ELIXIR F1000R channel.

Job board

ELIXIR France is seeking a post doc bioinformatician in genome assembly and annotation.
