Hub updates

We are launching a new group for ELIXIR Node Coordinators to facilitate communication and information exchange between the Nodes and also between the Hub and Nodes. You can sign up to the group on the group intranet page. More information about the group.

Platform updates

The Boschemas Travel Grant and Staff Exchange Programme is available for applicants who consider a node-exchange activity, or traveling to training or conference events that are associated with Bioschemas. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event date. Please see the website for details, or contact Sirarat.Sarntivijai@elixir-europe.org.

After the success of Biohackathon 2018 we are pleased to announce we will be organising Biohackathon 2019 again in Paris on 18-22 November, please reserve the date. The official call for projects will launch around 15 March, but we would appreciate if you register expressions of interest for leading a project to the spreadsheet to help planning of the event.

Updates from Communities

EU project Common Infrastructure for National Cohorts in Europe, Canada and Africa (CINECA), an international project led by EMBL-EBI kicked-off last week in Hinxton, UK. A virtual cohort of data from 1.4 million individuals will be made accessible to approved researchers around the world through CINECAs federated cloud-based network.

Updates from Nodes

DTL and ELIXIR Netherlands, in collaboration with the French, UK, and German Nodes, is organising an event Boost Your Visibility Improving F of FAIR for Training and Data Resources (Proteins, Samples, Beacons, Tools) through Bioschemas in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The participation is free, the registration is open now.

Registrations are open for the SIB course on Enrichment analysis, in Lausanne on 11 March 2019.

ELIXIR Luxembourg is hiring Research Associate in the field of clinical and translational medicine informatics (postdoctoral position) to support the ELIXIR coordinated IMI project FAIRPlus.

IRB Barcelona (part of ELIXIR Spain) is currently looking to hire a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology group.
