Thanks to those who have submitted abstracts to the ELIXIR Application Track at ECCB 2016. We have received 48 abstracts, which are now being reviewed by ELIXIR's F1000R Editorial Board. Authors will be notified of the outcome of the selection process in June 2016.
The recording from the webinar presented last week by Sanne Abeln (ELIXIR Netherlands) and Dylan Spalding (EMBL-EBI) on the ELIXIR - TraIT pilot on management of translational data with European Genome-phenome Archive is now available for viewing via the ELIXIR Website. Node updates
OpenMinTeD, an EU project working on creating a new infrastructure for Text and Data Mining of scientific content. OpenMinTeD emphasises an open, service-oriented infrastructure, supporting interoperability of components and services, would like to invite you to contribute to their survey of user requirements, by completing one of the following questionnaires: researcher questionnaire, developer questionnaire, data aggregator questionnaire.
BioExcel - new project to support the use of high-end computing in biomolecular research is launching a new webinar series. The first webinar: 29 April: Integrative modelling of biomolecular complexes with HADDOCK, 29 April at 16.00 CEST.
Platform updates
A workshop was held in Heidelberg last week 'Towards Cloud Solutions For Life Sciences And Translational Medicine' in which many representatives from ELIXIR took part. Data Management Plans Working Group survey on data management planning within ELIXIR Nodes. All relevant members of ELIXIR Nodes are invited to take part; the deadline is 29 April 2016. de.NBI and ELIXIR jointly organised Galaxy DevOps Workshop in Heidelberg on 6-7 April. The report is available on ELIXIR Intranet.
