Hub Updates

The ELIXIR Board met on 13-14 November in Paris for its 2017 Autumn session. The outcomes include approval the Work Plan and Budget for 2018, presentation of themes for the next Scientific Programme 2019-2023, and approval of eight new Implementation studies (more details about them will be available soon).

The registration to the next ELIXIR Innovation and SME Forum in Cambridge on 23-24 January 2018 is now open.

Updates from Platforms

A revision of biotoolsSchema, the software description model of bio.tools, is underway to implement community-requested features gathered over the last year. It will result in groundbreaking changes to the bio.tools API. If you have software dependencies, then please get in touch shortly with Jon Ison via registry-support@elixir-dk.org.

EMBL-EBI has opened registration for its Networks & Pathways training course on 14-18 May 2018 in Hinxton, UK.

Job board

The ELIXIR Hub is recruiting a Human Data Technical Coordinator in Hinxton, UK, to provide technical project management and service coordination.

ELIXIR UK seeks a Training Impact Co-ordinator based at The Bioinformatics Training Facility, University of Cambridge. The post-holder will develop a comprehensive system of bioinformatics training metrics/key performance indicators across ELIXIR and EXCELERATE.

There are two internship positions open at the ELIXIR Hub: the Bioschemas internship and the ELIXIR Beacons internship.
