An HPC centre of excellence

This recently launched HPC centre of excellence is coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (ELIXIR-ES), together with CSC (ELIXIR-FI) and ten other academic and commercial bodies, and funded by the European Commission.

ELIXIR UK publishes SARS-CoV2 paper in Scientific Reports

'SARSCoV2 spike protein predicted to form complexes with host receptor protein orthologues from a broad range of mammals'

The paper discusses a comprehensive study of SARSCoV2 host range for identifying species at risk of infection or potential reservoirs of the virus. The study, which screened a large number of animals, aims to suggest possible susceptibility to guide further studies.
