Hub updates
The EOSC-Life project officially started on 1 March 2019. It is a collaboration of 13 ESFRI biomedical research infrastructures to create an open collaborative digital space for life science in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The project is coordinated by ELIXIR, the kick-off meeting takes place in Amsterdam on 20-21 March.

We would like to announce the launch for the BioHackathon2019 website and the official opening of the Call for Hacking Projects, which will close on 7th April. Save the date! The Building Leadership in European Research Infrastructures Workshop in will take place in Brussels from 20-21 November 2019. This meeting will bring together the RI community to share examples and successful outcomes of training programmes specific to RI leaders, and to define the future training landscape in RI management. The new release of the Biocontainers.Pro website contains a new registry of 7400 tools and new documentation explaining how to run and best practices around BioContainers. The website also has TRS compliant API, which is a GA4GH specification.

Registrations and call for abstracts are now open for the 4th Disease Maps Community Meeting (DMCM2019), taking place from 2-4 October 2019 in Seville, Spain. The event is hosted by the Clinical Bioinformatics Area led by Joaquin Dopazo (INB, ELIXIR ES).
Today BSC has published news about Starlife, a new infrastructure starting to operate to boost biomedical research. The cluster is housed at the BSC and jointly coordinated with CRG and IRB Barcelona.

Cancer Research Institute of Salamanca is looking for Bioinformatics Researcher in the Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics Group. The deadline to apply is 14 March 2019.
