ESFRI Landmark Monitoring - Feedback Survey
ELIXIR has recently completed its monitoring process with ESFRI. Thanks to the high-quality work done across the organisation, there was a lot to showcase in the questionnaire. We are particularly grateful to ELIXIR Belgium who joined Hub representatives at the hearing with the monitoring Panel. The Panels report will be shared with the ELIXIR Board later this year.

Minimum information guidelines for experiments structurally characterizing intrinsically disordered protein regions
An ELIXIR supported paper
Minimum information guidelines define the fundamental complement of data that can support an unambiguous conclusion based on experimental observations. The Minimum Information About Disorder Experiments (MIADE) guidelines define the parameters required for the wider scientific community to understand the findings of an experiment studying the structural properties of intrinsically disordered regions. The MIADE guidelines will improve the interpretability of experimental results for data consumers, facilitate direct data submission, simplify data curation, improve data exchange among repositories and standardize the dissemination of the key metadata on an IDR experiment.

A review of biodiversity research in ports: Let's not overlook everyday nature!
An EOSC-Life supported paper
Ports are urban and often quite-confined habitats within the aquatic ecosystems, hosting biodiversity as any natural ecosystem under anthropogenic pressures as in many urban ecosystems. This review seeks to give an overview of the state of knowledge on port biodiversity based on scientific literature. The aim was to highlight gaps and strengths in biodiversity knowledge and research in the port ecosystem, guide port management and assist in planning research and management actions towards sustainability. This review highlighted the need for a shift in port environmental awareness for biodiversity to expect resilience of the whole social-ecological system.
