Updates from Platforms

Registration is still open for the course on 'Adopting Open Source Software FAIR Practices' at the NETTAB 4OSS Satellite workshop taking place on 22 October 2018. The goal is to introduce the participants to the training materials developed to teach researchers and developers how to implement 4OSS practices in their research software.

SIB is organising a Symposium on Computational Structural Biology celebrating 25 years of SWISS-MODEL in Basel, Switzerland, on 18 October. Registration is currently open.

With stakeholders from academia, industry, funding agencies, standards organisations, RDM providers & publishers the FAIRsharing team (ELIXIR-UK, Oxford) presents its mission: An evaluation of standards, repositories and data policy landscape, along with recommendations for consumers and providers of these resources.

The Centre for Molecular and Biomolecular Informatics (CMBI) is currently looking for an Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics for Personalized Medicine at Radboudumc in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

ELIXIR France (IFB) is looking to hire a candidate to work on Bioinformatics resource interoperability development.

ELIXIR Sweden is looking for one or two system developers with operational responsibility, based at Uppsala University.

The ELIXIR Core Data Resource, CATH, is seeking to hire a 3 years Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on protocols for using protein structural data to link sequence with function.
