The B1MG (Beyond One Million Genomes) project has officially been granted and starts this week. It receives funding from the European Unions Horizon 2020 programme under the grant agreement No 951724

ECCB 2020 Goes Virtual

September 2020 | Online

The Organisational Committee of the 19th European Conference on Computational Biology has decided to go virtual. Having in mind the health and safety of all attendees, the ECCB, in its traditional format, will be postponed to 2022 but there will be a fully virtual ECCB this September.

BioData has released D-cellerate, a straightforward web application written in R and based on the Seurat package. It provides a graphical interface to easily perform, store and produce reports.

CINECA becomes new content provider to TeSS

The Training eSupport System (TeSS) acquires new content provider, CINECA.

What is the CINECA Project?
CINECA aims to deliver a federated, internationally interoperable infrastructure for data discovery and sharing of human genetic and phenotypic data. CINECA (Common Infrastructure for National Cohorts in Europe, Canada and Africa) is funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 programme and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

ELIXIR Training Platform invited to the first e-IRG Webinar

On the 25t of May, the Training Platform was invited to the e-IRG webinar on 'Future skills in the new European Research Area. Fotis Psomopoulos (ELIXIR-GR) presented, on behalf of the platform, and introduction to ELIXIR and discussed the necessary transferable digital skills in the life sciences.

Molgenis/BBMRI infrastructure to speed up COVID-19 research

During the pandemic, the Molgenis/BBMRI is leveraging its main system, the Directory, to preserve valuable biological material complemented with detailed data for future research purposes. The Directory is actively collecting starting and ongoing COVID-19 related initiatives, and ultimately promoting collaboration and preventing fragmentation of research efforts.
