A reminder that the agenda and associated documents (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0k8U4QpIRPteEFocjVzU19zQ0E/0B0…) for the HoNs VC on 4th Jun (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0k8U4QpIRPteEFocjVzU19zQ0E/0B0…) are available to HoNs for review ahead of next week's meeting.Now including 'ELIXIRHON/2015/8 - Proposal for Galaxy working group' and the ELIXIR 2015 Work Plan as approved by the ELIXIR Board in April 2015.

ELIXIR Data and Software Carpentry Workshop and Hackathon, Utrecht, Netherlands, 22nd-25th June 2015
A second ELIXIR Data and Software carpentry workshop (http://www.elixir-europe.org/system/files/documents/a_data_carpentry_wo…) / hackathon (http://www.elixir-europe.org/system/files/documents/datacarpentryhackat…) event will be hosted by the Dutch Node between 22nd and 25th June 2015. HoNs are asked to help ensure these events are brought to the attention of relevant staff within their Nodes and contact their TrC if they have any questions.Funding is available to support participation of one representative from each ELIXIR Node in the hackathon (http://www.elixir-europe.org/system/files/documents/datacarpentryhackat…) , with the aim of having participants from all ELIXIR Nodes taking part.The workshop (http://www.elixir-europe.org/system/files/documents/a_data_carpentry_wo…) is aimed at researchers in the life sciences at all career stages and is designed for learners with little to no prior knowledge of programming, shell scripting, or command line tools.Further information about the events can be found via the ELIXIR website (http://www.elixir-europe.org/events/elixir-data-carpentry-workshop-and-…) .
