Update on EOSC Association

We recently requested that Nodes register the status of their institutions and individuals as members, or intending members of the EOSC Association during 2021. As previously stated ELIXIR is unable to become a Member since EMBL, which lends its legal entity to ELIXIR, is already a Member in its own right and the same legal entity cant become a member twice. However, we can use the information provided by Nodes to help ELIXIR engage and shape discussions taking place within the EOSC Association.

This document remains open to further additions from our Nodes. We will have an update from EMBL on the Association during the forthcoming All Hands EOSC Mini Symposium on 2 June. A second call for Task Force membership will be opened by the EOSC Association shortly and is expected to close on 16 June. The Task Forces will be grouped under 5 Advisory Groups covering: Implementation of EOSC; Technical Challenges in EOSC; Metadata and Data Quality; Research Careers and Curricula; Sustaining EOSC. The full list of Task Forces is provided in the Node Association sheet linked above.

For further enquiries and information please contact Jonathan Tedds (jonathan.tedds@elixir-europe.org) at the Hub.
