For Action

NEW As ELIXIR has expanded the portfolio of Implementation Studies - we have about 20 studies currently underway - the question has arisen as to what is the role of the Platform Coordinators in running those projects.

Accordingly the Hub has put together some principles that address that question and hopefully clarify what is expected of the Platform Coordinators in all aspects of Implementation Studies. Interested parties are invited to review the principles document here.

ONGOING ELIXIR SAB REGISTRATION AND AGENDA

Please register by the end of today for the ELIXIR SAB meeting taking place in Hinxton, 1-2 February 2018.

HoNs are expected to be in attendance at the meeting. In addition, each Platform is expected to send a representative to present at the meeting. A full agenda is available here. Logistics information can be found via the registration page. Other documents for the meeting will follow in due course. WIDENING NODE PARTICIPATION IN IMPLEMENTATION STUDIES

As agreed by the Heads of Nodes in December 5, the Hub is now asking Nodes to prepare applications for resources to participate in Implementation Studies included in 2018 Work Plan. Instructions and the template for the applications are here. The application must be submitted by the Head of Node and the deadline is 31 January. For any questions, please contact Susanna.

For information

Minutes from the additional ELIXIR Heads of Nodes TC to discuss the INFRAEOSC-4 proposal and agree on ELIXIR participation earlier this week are now available. Please send any comments on the minutes to nicola.kay@elixir-europe.org by Friday 2 February.

We are pleased to announce that 3 new Platform Coordinators will be joining the Hub over the next couple of months.
