First Annual Danish Bioinformatics Conference

ELIXIR Denmark sponsored and co-organized in a partnership with Danish Universities, the first Annual Danish Bioinformatics Conference on 27-28 August 2015 in Odense. 

The event brought together over 200 researchers and other professionals in bioinformatics and systems biology, who had the chance to know the latest developments in these fields in Denmark.

The conference opened by Søren Brunak, the Head of ELIXIR Denmark, and Anders Krogh, the Danish scientific delegate of the ELIXIR Board. They presented ELIXIR and gave an overview on Danish bioinformatics. The programme included a range of topics from medical informatics, RNA bioinformatics and proteomics, to population genetics and medical genomics.

The ELIXIR Node in Denmark focuses on interoperability and integration to facilitate the use of tools and services for researchers with and without specific competences in bioinformatics and systems biology.
