ELIXIR and BioSharing organised a session on sharing sensitive data in life sciences at the Sixth Plenary session of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) in Paris on 23-25 September 2015.
The session was a joint effort of the RDA ELIXIR Bridging Force Interest Group and the BioSharing Registry Interest Group. The session presented the latest developments in both ELIXIR and BioSharing, followed by three lectures on sensitive data in life sciences. The session also invited participants to comment on the developments in research data sharing in other scientific fields and their implications for life science.
About Research Data Alliance
The Research Data Alliance (RDA) is a global forum to enable open sharing of scientific data across disciplines, technologies and countries. The topics are as diverse as data citation and data archiving and as specific as wheat data interoperability or metabolomics.
ELIXIR has established the ELIXIR Bridging Force Interest Group to connect ELIXIR with relevant RDA Interest and Working Groups, e.g. those on agricultural data, big data analysis, federated identity management, marine data, structural biology, toxicogenomics, and data publishing.
