This webinar presented the ELIXIR Beacon & Beacon Network As A Service.
Beacons present an easy-to-implement strategy for determining whether an institution has genomic data in its data set that would be useful to share. Beacon networks consist of registries of multiple Beacons, in different locations, which can be queried through a common intercace or gateway protocol. The ELIXIR Beacon Network is a collection of Beacons from ELIXIR Nodes, which - among other features - implement controlled access options by leveraging the ELIXIR AAI.
