ELIXIR Director, Niklas Blomberg, will take part in a session on big data at the forthcoming AAAS meeting in San Jose on 14 February 2015. Niklas will offer his view on data sharing in the life sciences, outlining how a big data infrastrucutre is required to solve global challenges. Other panel members include Frank Wuerthwein, University of California, who will talk on shared computing as a driver for discoveries from the Large Hadron Collider to viruses and Davide Salomoni from the National Institute for Nuclear Physics who will offer his perspective on the future of distributed computing.
